Moving

I'm Moving to tumblr I'm afraid. My posts which are currently up here will be on there within the next few days and in a couple of weeks I will be deleting this blog. Similar stuff will be up there but I generally prefer it and I'll probably reblog a bunch :) But yeah... If you like what you've seen here... I'll be doing more of the same with tumblr in the new year.

What is Happiness

According to dictionary.com happiness is 'the quality or state of being happy', but what does this mean? How do we know if we have complete happiness? Is it when we laugh, when we smile or are simply feeling content? When we love, when we know things are going well? If we are brutally honest with ourselves, are we honestly happy right now. Even if you have everything you could dare wish for, would you truly be happy?
I have to admit, I don't know if I'm happy. Sometimes I feel like the world around me is perfect, like nothing bad could happen and this is the only place I could be. The only place that is right and yes, I feel good! But then other times, I know I have more than most, yet I still have this feeling that I'm not completely happy, a nagging feeling. I guess this means happiness cannot be done on material possessions.
So what does it mean? Is happiness judged by the people around you? Your friends, your family the people you love. Those people you feel you couldn't live without, those people that would do anything for you and you would do the same in return. The people that when you're with them, no one else matters. Those are special people. Do those people ensure happiness? And what about those not so lucky to have them? Does this mean they cannot know happiness?
You would like to think not. You would like to think that everyone has the power to experience happiness, even if it is for one moment, to be completely absorbed in all that's good. But then what can bring you happiness? It can't be comfort, those starving children in Africa, they can surely be happy for one moment, through all the pain and the toughness, surely they can smile, surely something can make them happy.
Maybe it's just life, maybe having the privilege to experience mortality and to see the Earth. Nothing else is shared, nothing else is the same in every life, so that has to be what makes people happy, simply life. Unless every one's view of happiness is difference, in that case, happiness is well, everything!

Admirable People

I was sat there today, watching this boy run around the athletics track. Everyone was laughing at him and he knew it, but he didn't care, he kept his head held high and continued to smile. I couldn't help but admire him, he came last in his race, he was lapped by almost everyone, but he stood up for himself and didn't let other put him down.

He can't help be slower than all the rest, he has serious problems, had them from birth, and everyone has always laughed at him and made fun of him. But I think people should aspire to be like him, for he's brave and strong-willed. He is better than those who run well, those who find running easy and excel in it and if you know anyone similar to this boy, I ask you to talk to him and look after him because he is very special!

What is Beauty?

To me, beauty isn't the flawless skin, thin body and fashionable style of that model everyone is jealous of. To me, beauty is your heart, your soul and your smile. Absolutely anyone can be beautiful, even the old woman with wrinkles from head to toe, saggy bags under her eyes and crooked, yellowing teeth. You see, if someone can open out their hearts and let its content be seen they have the power to be the most beautiful person in the world. They may not be beautiful to the guy across the street or the girl down the road - no one can be beautiful to everyone - but everyone is beautiful to somebody, to me, to their parents or to someone that loves you.
Love can make anything happen, and love can only happen through beauty. Everyone is different, everybody finds a different heart, soul and smile beautiful. So be proud of who you are and what you represent, for their is somebody out there, looking for your beauty, right now.

Keep Calm and Update Your Blog

It’s been bugging me all day. Not just today, for weeks now… What makes a good blog? I personally think you need artistic flair, a passion for what you’re writing about and good contacts to get yourself advertised over the ever-growing blogging community. Others will disagree, think it takes experience, talent in writing and a general know how. I’m probably being naive, thinking that a 1st blog can be successful, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing, life’s a bitch, and sometimes having a little hope can save your life and give you a reason for living.

I can’t believe I’m actually doing this, blogs are completely foreign to me and I’ll probably make some mistakes along the way, offend some people or just give cause for argument, but give me time and I will get better, I will be a great blog artist and I will make you smile! Sometimes my posts will be exciting, sometimes they will make you think, and sometimes they will be complete trash, but that's ok, that's just me!
